LCA's History

To be transparent: I didn’t do very well in elementary and high school. I wasn’t made to sit quietly in rows and fill out worksheets. I was made to move. God made me an explorer and from my earliest age, until now, that is what I have been. I just sat there wishing I was outside playing. Only when I entered college and set my sights on becoming a USAF pilot did I see a need to learn. Based on testing at college, it was discovered that I was well equipped to be an engineer. And so, I transferred into engineering, and I found my passion because IT WAS INTERESTING TO ME. I graduated with honors and became a USAF pilot for ten years before God called me and I left the USAF to get trained for Ministry.

I graduated from Bible school, started teaching children, and was chosen to be the children’s pastor at Rhema Bible Church where we had 1000 children, 500 teachers and 39 classes to staff each week. I also taught children’s workers and ran many large events. I have now been the Senior Pastor of Faith Family Church for 30 years, and I have been highly involved in teaching children for most of those years. My wife Deb has a lifetime of management experience in the business world and is an amazing communicator.

LCA's History

After graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center, Pastor Andy White founded Faith Family Church in Chandler, AZ in 1994. Soon after, he started Life Christian Academy & Preschool in 2001.

Seeking to fill the void left by the public school system, Pastor Andy & Deb White created Life Christian Academy in 2014. Today, we strive to provide a balanced education with a Biblical worldview woven throughout each lesson.

In order to grow sustainably, LCA has grown incrementally by adding a grade level each year. Learn more about that here.

Our 12 Foundations Of Faith

At LCA, these 12 foundational truths shape our school. They are what we believe and how we apply Biblical realities in our day-to-day classroom setting.

Who God Is

  • God's Word is truth.

  • God defines truth.

  • God doesn't change and neither does truth.

  • The Bible is our Rock.

  • God is love.

  • Because God lives in us, we can love with God's love.

  • God can love through us.

  • Love never fails.

  • God is Holy.

  • We are called to be holy because He is holy.

  • Holiness is a fire.

  • God continues to refine us.

  • Respect. Courtesy.

How We Live

  • Grace is how God powers His plan.

  • Our gifts are determined by grace that comes to us from God.

  • God's grace is always towards us.

  • Obedience transforms grace into glory.

  • Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches.

  • We pray and we praise.

  • When we abide we will dwell in the secret place of the most High.

  • We live a life of forgiveness so we can continue to abide.

  • Our God is one.

  • We are one body and are therefore members of one another.

  • We forgive quickly.

  • We are merciful.

  • We speak truth in love.

  • We refuse to be offended.

How We Do It

  • Faith is a trusting relationship with God.

  • Faithfulness is being trustworthy and dependable.

  • We are faithful to God.

  • We are faithful to family and friends.

  • We are called to lay down our lives, pick up our cross and follow Him.

  • We are selfless, not selfish.

  • We prefer others.

  • We live to be a blessing.

  • We accept short term sacrifice for long term joy.

  • God makes us able to stand.

  • When the storms of life blow we stand our ground till the storms pass as they always do.

  • We stand on the Rock which is Christ.

What We Do

  • We are at peace with who God has made us to be and we serve joyfully in His grace.

  • We edify others.

  • We serve God by serving those He died for.

  • We share the good news of Jesus Christ with others.

  • We let God love the world through us.

  • We make our faith come alive helping friends find their heavenly Father.

  • We live a life of sowing and reaping.

  • We are generous

  • God is our source.

  • No look to be the answer, not wait for an answer.

We Are A Covenant School

LCA is a collaborative learning community. that means we work together, with you, towards the same goal.

Amos 3:3

How You Fit In

At LCA we understand that we can only have a limited impact on your child's life. We believe that in order to form a solid foundation on God's Word, a child needs consistency at home and in the classroom.

When a strong partnership, or covenant, is formed between two parties both are agreeing to benefit and support the other. We want the best for our students and want to assure our parents that their child is taught Biblical principles consistently in the classroom.

Amos 3:3 says "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" We need to know that we are walking towards the same destination so that we walk together. This is why our Parent's Spiritual Agreement is necessary.
