A Typical Day at Life Christian
Start Strong
Building Confidence and Ownership
Students begin their day by learning the simple but powerful habit of a proper handshake — a firm grip, genuine smile, steady eye contact, and a confident greeting. This daily practice builds respect, confidence, and personal integrity while setting a positive tone for the day.
Students then organize their spaces, set weekly goals, and plan their schedule. With the freedom to choose where to begin — reading, math, or another subject — they develop initiative, independence, and ownership of their education.

Morning Devotions
Fortress, Armor, and the Road
Each morning starts with prayer as we remind students that the Lord is their fortress. Through God’s attributes — love, holiness, truth, justice, and righteousness — students build a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them for life.
Just as importantly, they learn who they are in Christ. By “putting on” these attributes, students grow into people of truth and character, equipped with the Armor of God and prepared to walk daily on the Road with Jesus.
Core Academics
Engaging and Expanding Minds
One of our greatest strengths is tailoring education to each student’s God-given abilities. When students are both challenged and engaged, they discover a love of learning.
Our flexible model — refined through years of experience — allows students to progress at their own pace using interactive platforms like Miacademy and MiaPrep. Teachers review progress daily, provide guidance, and encourage problem-solving and collaboration.
While technology supports learning, it never replaces it. Students regularly engage with books, writing, hands-on activities, and one another for a balanced educational experience.

Lunch
Friendship and Outdoor Play
After a focused morning, students enjoy a well-earned break to eat, play, and connect with friends. Outdoor time helps build character, creativity, and community — and yes, no phones allowed.
Our climbing tree has just one rule: students must be able to get up and down on their own — a true rite of passage. From imaginative play to sandlot football, this time is both joyful and formative.
After Lunch
World Watch & Critical Thinking
Students grow in their understanding of the world through World Watch Daily, a video news program presented from a Christian perspective. This daily window into current events strengthens news literacy, biblical discernment, and critical thinking.
Older students sharpen these skills by identifying facts, inferences, and opinions, learning how to distinguish truth from assumption. PragerU videos further help students engage thoughtfully with important cultural and life issues.

Afternoon Projects and Electives
Exploring Passions
Afternoons are devoted to electives and projects that allow students to dive deeper into their interests — whether art, science, athletics, or creative pursuits.
Much like a homeschool environment, learning often extends beyond the classroom. Students may prepare for events or take educational trips to places like Home Depot or local shops. This is where curiosity grows and learning comes to life.
Afternoon Wrap-Up
Reflection and Recognition
We close the day by gathering as a community to reflect on what was learned, celebrate successes, and grow from challenges. After ending in prayer, students head home encouraged and accomplished.
