Sparks:
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Building Spirit-Filled Learners Through Discipleship and Discovery
Our Sparks program is where the journey of faith and learning begins. Designed for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students, this small, combined class (no more than 14 students) provides a warm, relaxed, and safe space where our Spirit-filled teacher knows, loves, and encourages each child to grow.
At Life Christian Academy – Emmaus, we start discipleship early, helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually while discovering who God created them to be. Here, learning is joyful, relationships are genuine, and every child learns to shine for God in all they do.

Excellence in Learning and Character

Our Sparks program lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Through hands-on lessons, movement, and creativity, students develop both skills and confidence across core subjects:
-
Reading – Building vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for stories.
-
Writing – Expressing ideas clearly and creatively.
-
Math – Strengthening number sense, patterns, and real-world problem-solving.
-
Communication - Students gain confidence speaking in front of others and learn to express themselves kindly while listening to their classmates.
Because classes are small, teachers truly get to know each child, celebrating progress, guiding challenges, and nurturing each student’s gifts. Every child even completes their very first book, a proud milestone that showcases both growth and imagination!
Safe, Supportive, and Spirit-Led
The Sparks classroom is a peaceful, joyful, and Christian environment where students feel safe to try, explore, and grow.
Our teachers provide gentle guidance and strong connection, helping each child build confidence while fostering a lifelong love of learning and God’s truth.
A School Community That Feels Like Family
At Life Christian Academy – Emmaus, school feels like family. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll notice a sense of peace, belonging, and connection. Our close-knit, faith-driven community, rooted in homeschooling, is relaxed and focused on each child’s growth.
Our Sparks class thrives in that spirit, where teachers partner closely with parents. Each day begins with prayer and connection, helping students see that learning and faith go hand in hand. In this caring environment, children form friendships and grow in kindness, character, and confidence.
With small class sizes, teachers truly know each child, nurturing gifts and fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Students also grow spiritually in our discipleship-focused school, following Jesus through service, kindness, and faith in action.
Children develop strong character and leadership skills, gaining the confidence to succeed academically, socially, and personally in a safe, supportive, and faith-filled environment.

Faith in Action: Discipleship and Character Development
As a discipleship school, we believe faith is lived out daily. In Sparks, students learn that following Jesus means serving others, showing kindness, and working hard for His glory.
We focus on helping children:
-
Grow in faith and understanding of God’s Word
-
Develop strong character and leadership habits
-
Learn responsibility, teamwork, and perseverance
-
Build a sense of purpose rooted in God’s plan for their lives
Our goal is to prepare students not just for the next grade, but for a life of faith and success, spiritually, academically, and personally.
A Day in the Life of a Sparks Student

Making Christian Education Affordable
We know choosing a private Christian school is a big decision, and we’re committed to making it possible for every family.
Many Sparks students attend through scholarships and Education Savings Accounts (ESA), including support from ACSTO, with some families paying as little as $50 a week out of pocket.
With our guidance, your child can thrive in a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment without financial stress.

This will be our family’s sixth year at LCA, and we absolutely love the community and family atmosphere. Our kids especially enjoy Bible and Worship time—it’s their favorite part of the day! The Emmaus Program has brought a wonderful new chapter to their education. Being in multi-grade classrooms has helped them grow in empathy and take ownership of their learning. I only wish this school had been around when we were kids—I would have loved going to school!

Words cannot express how much we LOVE this school!!! Our kindergartener is just flourishing in their program, and we love that it's more than just education - they focus on the whole child, and give them the individualized attention they deserve - they're definitely MUCH more than a number at LCA!!!

LCA is an amazing school! We are truly blessed to have our daughter attend this school. This is our daughter's first year as she just started kindergarten and she has made leaps and bounds not only academically but spiritually as well. The teachers are wonderful and work with the students, challenging them at their own level. My young daughter is already reading books, doing addition and subtraction and best of all growing closer to God. It is so awesome being a parent watching your child grow and develop so quickly. I couldn't imagine a better school!
