Our Parent Spiritual Agreement
We aren't looking for perfect people! We understand that Christians grow and we are not as concerned where a family starts so much as which direction they are going. Life Christian Academy will be a good fit for those families that are following after Jesus Christ. We would not be a good fit for families that are not followers of Jesus Christ or who are opposed to what the bible teaches. Therefore at least one parent must be a believer and attest to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If a spouse is not an active follower of Jesus Christ we need agreement that they will not oppose what we are teaching.
An important part of the Christian experience for a child is being a part of a Bible believing local church. Our expectation is that children will grow up connected and serving in a local church. Of course, families are free to choose the Bible believing church that best fits their family.
1) We agree that the Bible is the Word of God and God's Word does not change.
Matthew 24:35 - Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
2) We agree that God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
3) We agree that without salvation, man is a sinner and is hopelessly lost.
John 3:36 - He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
4) We agree that Jesus is God the Savior, that He is the only way to Heaven.
John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
5) We agree that you must be born again.
John 3:7 - Do not marvel that I said to you, "You must be born again."
6) We agree to be connected to a local church.
Colossians 1:18 - And He is the head of the body, the church.
7) We agree that God's plan for marriage is one man with one woman.
Genesis 2:24 - Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
8) We agree that God desires unity.
John 17: 20;22 - I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word... that they may be one just as We are one.

9) We agree that each person has received a gift that differs according to the grace given to us.
1 Peter 4:10 - As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Romans 12:6 - Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them.
10) We agree that the Holy Spirit is a person in the same manner that Jesus is a person with all the divine attributes.
He indwells all believers at the moment of salvation and actively leads and guides all believers. While Life Christian Academy accepts that there is a Baptism of the Holy Spirit subsequent to salvation for those believers who choose to walk in that empowerment of God, that decision is a parent's decision to make. Should a student enquire, we will not pray for any child to receive that gift without obtaining permission from the parent(s)
John 16:13 - However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
Acts 1:8 - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
